As we will soon be entering 2010 I would like to wish you a happy new year from everyone at Onlinebathrooms.

2010 will be a good year for Onlinebathrooms, as we have now settled into the new warehouse, business is getting back to normal and orders are getting processed much more quickly. This will mean that as we will be spending less time working on orders we can speed up the website, continuously modify banners and add new products. We will also be able to offer even better customer service.

So, don’t forget to make your order before 31st December to avoid the VAT increase and from all of us at Onlinebathrooms, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Another Christmas over, but at least we still have the new year to look forward to.

However, make sure you place your order before 1st January to avoid the VAT increase. On bathroom suites and larger items, this small percentage can soon add up so we would recommend that you place your order soon to save even more on our fantastic offers.

Just in case you missed it on the site, I thought I’d also mention that the Onlinebathrooms new year opening times are as follows:

28th Dec - 29th Dec : 10AM - 4PM

31st Dec - 1st Jan : CLOSED

Open as usual as of Saturday 2nd Jan

And to avoid any confusion, if you place your order today, you will receive a call either today, tomorrow or Saturday and we will be able to arrange with you a suitable delivery date after the 4th January but your order total will not incur the VAT increase.

On a more technical note, we have also resurrected our ‘OnlineBathrooms’  twitter page so our new posts will appear there, and no longer on the ‘BathroomsOnline’ page. So make sure you’re following ‘onlinebathrooms’ to get the latest updates, offers and general info on our progress. If you don’t have twitter, we will also continue to post on our home page., where the link will take you to our direct blog.

We will also continue the ‘Next Day Delivery Request’ on the checkout page as of the 4th January, as this is when our couriers can support our next day delivery requests again.

Christmas is fast approaching and although we here at Online Bathrooms hate to be the bearer of bad news, we are now fully booked up with deliveries during the Christmas and New Year period. The next available deliveries will be from the 6th of January 2010.

On a good note you can still make your purchases now in time to beat the VAT increase and make yourself a saving.

Just a recap but the next day delivery section is made up of all of our top selling and most popular items, which allows us to buy them in such large bulks, that the bulk savings are able to passed on to you. So why not check them out and grab yourself a bargain. As mentioned above we are fully booked up with deliveries now until 2010 however items ordered from the next day delivery will have first priority for the next earliest deliveries.

As Alan mentioned in the last post a lot has been happening internally at Online Bathrooms, with the building of a whole new network system (Thanks to our IT Manager/Expert; Mark) and the moving to our new warehouse, all of which are designed to increase the proficiency of the services we can offer our customers. But many new products are being added all the time and I will be keeping you informed of some of these products on here in the near future.

As Christmas comes ever closer, at Onlinebathrooms we’re continually working on getting our LAN set up before we break up for Christmas. Whenever we get a chance we’re still working on our google ranking, website improvements and Michael is always adding new products to give you some inspiration when designing your new bathroom.

But as Christmas is days away, our courier slots are becoming evermore limited, so we would urge you to ring us to check the availability of the goods if you require your goods sooner. Otherwise you may be looking at delivery in the new year.

However don’t forget to order before the 1st January to avoid the VAT increase!

Over the next few days we will have chance to power our way to the top of google and improve the site, where over the last few days we may have fallen behind. After the new year we should be ever nearer the top of google and we will be implementing other features to speed up the order process and enhance the whole Onlinebathrooms experience.

At onlinebathrooms we are continuously aiming to improve the usability and functionality of the site to make it easier for you to create your dream bathroom. That’s why, when we implement a change, we dont leave it there. We begin working on improving it so it’s the best it can be. Recently we implemented the Next Day Delivery feature which allows you to select nextday delivery if the products in your cart qualify for it. However we want that to be more interactive so we set out working on some fancy scripts to display the ND T&Cs of the nextday delivery only when you select the delivery option.

To improve this further, we are working on creating a on/off switch for the next day delivery option so we can turn it on or off quickly arund the holiday periods where courier availablility is limited. We always advise you to ring around these times to ensure you understand when yoiur good will arrive.

We have also been running cables ffrom the IT dept to the office at the from of the showroom allowing us to create a much more sensible network which is much more reliable, stable and of course, faster! But this has meant climbing over the showroom, drilling holes and avoiding hitting your head in the narrow space above the showroom. But its all for a cause, and we’ll be running faster than ever after we re-open in the newyear.

For now, get your orders in ASAP for the best choice of timeslots. More updates to come, watch this space!

As we all surely know only too well by now, Christmas isn’t far around the corner so we here at Online Bathrooms thought you should know whats going to be happening around here for Christmas.

From the 20th December - 3rd January, our showroom and warehouse will be closed. The website will still be running all the time so you can still order your bargains however no deliveries will be able to be booked during these dates. Our enquiry service will also not be available during this period however you can still contact us by email at info@onlinebathrooms.com, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We’ve placed a banner on our website with this information on along with the reminder to buy now to beat the VAT increase that comes into play from 31st December.

Another seasonal update from onlinebathrooms! As always we try to keep you in touch with our ongoings here, to keep the whole process as personal as possible.

In the weeks leading upto christmas, we have been working hard on processing all the orders as efficiently as possible, and we all know you want your bathroom fitted in time for chrsitmas. So we in the IT department have been working on speeding up this process for the warehouse team, by modifying the batch print module of our site, (the print-out of orders to process), to make it display a complete list of product model numbers so the products can be quickly located and allocated to you from the massive warehouse. While the technical part should have been relatively simple, we encountered a few problems which have now been resolved. The task now however is to assign the product lists to the products themselves, (the fun part!). Michael has been working hard on this and has only around 500 more products to go !

While this has been going on, you will read in previous posts that we have installed a new server which has obviously had some slight teething problems. However these are slowly dying out and all the staff are become used to the new configuration which is good!

I also want to mention that in the christmas rush, you may incur a longer delivery time however we constantly try to accomodate for everyones needs and do our best to get the goods to you ASAP and on a date you request. View our Delivery Information page for detailed info. Please dont hesiate to contact us if you have any questions or problems. We are also constantly adding multi-buy savings to ensure you get the best deals around this time of year, and we work on combining products that go well together to input our design expertise where you may be unsure.

So, in the weeks over and after christmas, we will be working on the next day delivery option (on the back-end of the site) to allow the staff here to recognise and process the next day delivery items much more quickly. We will be able to see when an order contains items which all qualify for next day delivery so we can load them onto the van ASAP and get them out to you the next day.

Dont forget, that we aim to add new products to our catalogue on a daily basis so keep checking the New Products tab at the top to get a real-time update on our new products.

Just a quick update to keep you informed on the progress here at onlinebathrooms.com. While we may be slipping down the google rank slightly, we’re working hard on improving the OB network configuration allowing us to process orders much more efficiently. As we recently moved the warehouse location, we invested in a new server and new machines to make the process much quicker and easier, speeding up the goods allocation, dispatch and shipping processes. When in place, the amount of time saved can be put into ensuring even better levels of customer service, and we can spend more time helping you buy your dream bathroom. (And the winter sale will leave you some change to put towards having a smashing christmas!) So order now to get your goods ready for christmas! (Subject to availability)

When we get back to making technical changes to the site I will of course keep you in touch and let you know what’s happening.
